Omar Wani, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with the Cardiovascular Institute at Northern Arizona Healthcare.
Philosophy
Dr. Wani believes in looking at the patient closely during each step in his or her journey. He also believes deeply in the power of positive lifestyle changes as part of comprehensive cardiovascular care.

Education and Certification
Dr. Wani earned his medical degree and completed his residency at Government Medical College Srinagar in India. He completed a residency, fellowship and internship at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine’s Department of Cardiology and an externship at the Doncaster Royal Infirmary in Doncaster, England.
Dr. Wani is board certified in internal medicine through a member of the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology

Dr. Wani is a very intelligent and dedicated doctor. He literally saved my life a few years ago with no heart damage. He discusses all aspects of my cardiac disease issues with me and doesn't treat like an ignorant novice. I am grateful and able to hike even recently up to 13,000 ft to a glacier.

Once Dr. Wani was able to see me, he spent a nice amount of time discussing my current health & lab results and options for trying to improve them. He was also gracious to ask the scheduler to stay in order to schedule my next appointment. I appreciate that he sent in my new prescription and lab requisition as we were discussing them to make sure we were on the same page for my ongoing care.

Dr. Wani is an expert in cardio medicine, came highly recommended to me and I am grateful to be in his care. He understood fully my specific heart issues, even better than my previous cardiologist. He was thorough, and listened fully to my explanation of my specific history cardio history, and formulated a perfect path forward for maintaining and improving my heart health and overall well being.
