Care Philosophy: 

Sherry Walka, FNP-C, promotes patient well-being and self-efficacy while finding healthy solutions that work for her patients and their families. With over ten years of experience as a registered nurse and ten years as nurse practitioner, she has seen how good mobility and preventive medicine can reduce bodily tension and reverse disease. 

Medical Specialty: 

Ms. Walka fights against weight bias and stigma by educating her patients, families and colleague providers on the inflammation and dysregulation that causes obesity and other associated conditions. 

Professional Achievements: 

Ms. Walka received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, and her master of science in nursing, family nurse practitioner, from Frontier Nursing University, located in Hyden, KY. She is obesity medicine certified.
