David C. Beyer, MD, FACR, FASTRO, is a board-certified radiation oncologist. He sees patients at the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare in Sedona.
Philosophy
Dr. Beyer believes it is all about the patient. He treats every individual case as if it were his own family and tries to make the experience as positive and as safe as possible. He enjoys getting to know his patients as people who have interesting lives other than their illness. Dr. Beyer believes in sharing what he knows in return for learning something new from his patients.
Expertise and Special Interests
Dr. Beyer specializes in general radiation oncology. He often focuses on prostate and breast cancers and brachytherapy. Brachytherapy is a localized internal radiation therapy involving the implantation of radioactive materials into tumors. 
Education and Certification
Dr. Beyer earned his doctor of medicine degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. and his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass.
Dr. Beyer is board-certified in radiation oncology through the American Board of Radiology and in internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
