Garyn specializes in gastroenterology and treats a variety of conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, pancreatitis, pancreatic masses and cysts, choledocholithiasis and abdominal pain. She also specializes in colon cancer screening.
Professional Achievements:
Garyn earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Northern Arizona University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA). Since 2022, she has served as the lead event director for Arizona’s Colon Cancer Coalition, where she organizes a 5K run/walk to educate the community about colorectal cancer and the importance of screening.

Garyn carefully walked me thru a set of questions regarding the progress of my symptoms when taking various medications she had prescribed, she explained clearly why my colonoscopy needed to be canceled and the plan for different medications to treat my symptoms and monitor my colon health. She is a skilled diagnostician, listener, and educator. I am confident she plans effective treatments for me and respects my voice in decision-making. Thank you, Garyn.

Garyn Grijalva is an amazing Provider! I was truly impressed with her! She was very caring, didn't rush thru the visit, listened to me, explained everything in great detail, etc. I could go on and on about her. She is truly a great asset to NAH! Garyn provided a professional, courteous, friendly interactive conversation regarding my medical history as a preliminary interview for scheduling a procedure. I am impressed with her diagnostic skills as they pertained to the symptoms I am experiencing. She listened carefully to my concerns and explanations, offering treatment options and recommending a reasonable treatment pattern. I am pleased that there will be a follow-up with her and a reasonable schedule for an upcoming procedure.
