Polzin worked as a nurse for 30 years prior to obtaining her nurse practitioner certification in 2011. At that time, she began providing services at the Hopi Healthcare Center and became a member of the FMC bariatric team. In 2014 she transitioned to working full time in Flagstaff. She has previous experience as a travel nurse providing emergency services, home health and pediatric care. She worked in Hawaii for 12 years before relocating to Flagstaff in 2005.
Patients appreciate Polzin’s empathy and ability to listen while making them feel at ease. She has special interests in preventive and holistic care, and weight management. Polzin strives to help patients achieve optimal health and well-being.
Education and Certification
Polzin earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Florida, Gainesville. She earned a Family Nurse Practitioner Master of Science at Northern Arizona University, where she was a Graduate with Distinction.
Polzin is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
