Care Philosophy:  

K.C. Kinney, LCSW, is inspired by a philosophy rooted in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) that acknowledges suffering as a fact of life. Through various therapeutic and integrated modalities, she helps clients build vibrant, meaningful lives while viewing struggles through a healthier and more productive lens. She is compassionate and direct in her communication. 

Medical Specialty: 

K.C. specializes in DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure response prevention, trauma-focused interventions and crisis intervention. She supports adolescents, adults and families in navigating a wide range of challenges. 

Professional Achievements:  

K.C. earned her master’s degree in social work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago, where her studies focused on supporting children and families. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in English from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.
