Care Philosophy:
Ms. Duran takes great pride in her work. Working in a high-risk neonatal environment demands patience, experience, understanding, and compassion. She advocates for her patients and patients’ families and enjoys using her years of experience to help educate her colleagues on best practices.
Medical Specialty:
Ms. Duran has worked as a neonatal nurse practitioner at Flagstaff Medical Center since 2006. She works directly with the neonatologist, respiratory therapist, developmental specialist, nurses and other members of the NAH team to provide the best quality of care.
Professional Achievements:
Ms. Duran is a nationally certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC). She is a neonatal resuscitation instructor and a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses. Ms. Duran acts as a High Risk Prenatal Program (HRPP) hospital liaison and assists with data collection for Arizona Perinatal Trust Transport and collects critical congenital heart disease data.
