Marcus Schmitz is a board-certified neurosurgeon who provides comprehensive care for conditions affecting the brain and spine. With more than 35 years of experience, he specializes in complex cranial and spinal procedures, including treatments for brain tumors, spinal disorders and traumatic injuries. 

Professional Achievements:   

Marcus Schmitz earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completed his neurosurgical training at A.B. Chandler Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Resident. Over the course of his career, he has held numerous leadership roles, including Chairman of Neurosurgery and Medical Director positions, and has served as an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery. 

He is a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (FAANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (FCNS) and a member of the American Medical Association. His work includes research, publications, and national and international lectures on neurosurgical topics, as well as involvement in clinical innovation and surgical education.
