Orazio Amabile, MD

Dr. Orazio L. Amabile, M.D., is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon who has practiced in Arizona since 2008. He is the Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support and ECMO at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix.
He has been voted “Top Doctor” in his field of surgery, as featured in the Phoenix Magazine every year since 2011. He performs all aspects of adult heart and lung surgery. He has a special interest in complex aortic surgery, and in cardiac assist devices/total artificial hearts for heart failure. He is considered one of the leading experts in the state of Arizona for LVADs, and Total Artificial Hearts.
Dr. Amabile earned his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma De Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, and New York Medical College. He then completed his Cardiothoracic Surgery Cardiothoracic Surgery training at University of Arizona in Tucson.
