Phillip Williams, MD, believes in clear communication, shared decision-making and ensuring patients understand their options. He takes a collaborative, individualized approach that empowers patients to play an active role in their care and achieve the best possible outcomes. He integrates preventive care, long-term relationships, and surgical management to deliver patient-centered care. 

Medical Specialty:   

Dr. Williams specializes in gynecology with a strong foundation in research and evidence-based medicine, providing comprehensive, up-to-date care tailored to each patient’s needs. 

Professional Achievements:  

Dr. Williams earned his Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago and his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Salt Lake City. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Salt Lake City, where he served as Chief Resident and completed a fellowship at the Society of Reproductive Surgeons at Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston.  

After being born and raised in Flagstaff, Dr. Williams relocated for college and medical training and returned to Flagstaff as a resident in 1997. He has worked for NAH in a number of capacities since 2000, including serving stints as the department chair and as the medical director for Flagstaff Medical Center’s obstetrics, gynecology and women’s health service line.
