Care Philosophy:  

Rick Valdes, FNP, treats patients with acute illnesses or injuries. He helps to educate them about their conditions and health care treatment plans.  

Medical Specialty:  

Rick specializes in urgent care. He has more than two decades of experience as a family nurse practitioner and has worked in intensive care units and emergency departments, among other clinical settings. He also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a flight nurse, clinical nurse and Critical Care Air Transport Team (CCATT) nurse. 

Professional Achievements:  

Rick earned his family nurse practitioner master’s degree from Northern Arizona University, where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing in addition to a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
