About Me:
“My goal is not to tell you what you can’t do, but rather figure out how to keep you engaged in the activities you love, safely.”
Care Philosophy:
Dr. Partridge believes that exercise is the medicine that keeps people active, improves their quality of life and assists in preventing diseases. He believes in collaborating with his patients and is thorough in understanding their situation in order to explore treatment options that he and his patients can agree on.
Medical Specialty:
Dr. Partridge splits his time between Northern Arizona University (NAU) Athletics and Northern Arizona Healthcare’s (NAH) Orthopedic & Spine Institute, due to a partnership between the organizations. As head team physician for all athletic teams at NAU, he is responsible for all aspects of health care for every student-athlete there. He is a primary care sports medicine physician, with a specialty in family medicine and a subspecialty in sports medicine. This background allows him to manage just about any condition that an active individual or athlete might encounter, including orthopedic conditions like fractures and sports injuries and other non-orthopedic sport-related conditions such as energy balance concerns and sport-related concussions. He performs office-based procedures and has extensive expertise with diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound.
Professional Achievements:
Dr. Partridge earned his medical degree at Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, IL, and his bachelor’s degree in biology and business administration with a minor in chemistry at Hope College in Holland, MI.
Dr. Partridge is board-certified in family medicine and holds a certificate in sports medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) and Wilderness Medical Society (WMS).
